Chrissie Richmond THE "Bucket Lady"

Nashville born artist Chrissie (Snyder) Richmond has been painting most of her life. Growing up as an only child in rural Antioch, she spent much of her childhood, drawing and coloring under the watchful eye of her artist / grandmother, Christine Snyder. Chrissie continued the love of her art throughout the years and would paint at night to unwind from the hectic life of the insurance business. During those years she discovered that her favorite designs to paint were those of a whimsical nature. She thought if they made her smile, they would do the same for others. After several years of successful Home Craft shows she decided to launch her painting career into full time and "just see" if she could make it. That was 5 years ago and her love of painting is still strong. She came across the idea of painting buckets, and through the monthly exposure at a local flea market, and some faithful customers, she quickly became known as the "BUCKET LADY." While she has now had to enlist the help of some very good friends to spray the buckets, brainstorm on new ideas, and handle the daily phone calls and orders, Chrissie finishes each and every one of them herself. Her Sales Representatives have grown in numbers, and they are proud to display and sell her work at Craft Fairs and through home "Bucket Parties." Chrissie continually adds new designs to keep her buckets fresh and offer something for everyone. Customers have come to know the quality of her work and while others have tried to copy it, nothing can compare to the quality of her original whimsical creations.
